1 A small bench or end table made of maple and finished with soap, a Danish tradition. It is joined with dovetails, floating tenons, and a custom brass piece that allows for seasonal wood movement. I used letterforms as a starting point for design. This one is "t", can you see?
2 A chair evoking a flower or crown, made of ash. The back prongs are steam-bent. The base is thick and very heavy. The parts are joined with threaded steel rod and epoxy. I'm happy with the chair's simple, happy gesture and its surprising level of comfort.
